Epoxy Flooring
Metallic Epoxy vs Flake: Which Floor Is Right For You?
Two of the most popular epoxy systems compared — looks, durability, cost and where each one shines.

METALLIC EPOXY
Metallic Epoxy
A pigmented, swirled finish that mimics flowing lava, polished marble or molten metal. It's a statement floor — best suited to showrooms, retail spaces and feature garages where the finish is part of the design.
Flake Epoxy
Decorative vinyl chips broadcast into a base coat, then locked under a high-build clear topcoat. The flake hides imperfections, adds slip resistance and is incredibly forgiving in busy garages and workshops.
Our recommendation
If you want drama and a one-of-a-kind look, go metallic. If you want a hard-working everyday floor with a textured finish, choose flake. Either way, prep is everything — diamond grinding to CSP-3 minimum is non-negotiable.
